A Garden... of Pure... Ideology!

Ha! The idea is: Will Wrigley Field soon be modernized to the point it loses its "soul", becoming just another cookie-cutter ballpark with sponge bob races and soda ads on the big screen that replaced the center field scoreboard, ad signs everywhere, "Make Noise" instructions for us mind-controlled fans, people posting old ads on fan websites, yada yada...

Paul Sullivan is such a freaking tool.

The Cubs, of course, remain the last major professional sports team without an electronic scoreboard with replay capacity, which is one of the charms of going to Wrigley Field. But with all the lost revenues from not having a Jumbotron, some wonder how much longer the team can hold out from installing 20th Century technology, especially in an economic downturn.

Advertisements on the 'tron? I guess Sully assumes the Jumbotron would pay for itself, and more.

That's kind of why teams have them, to surround them with ads, and run ads on them during the game. They aren't there for your viewing pleasure.
