Jaramillo will be the next one fired because Hendry refuses to accept responsibility for this train wreck of a team.

I'm sure this is just some St. Louis radio station passing false information to try and throw Chicago fans into a tizzy. Nothing to it.

Really.

So, dump Milton Bradley for pennies on the dollar and then sign a significantly worse player. BRILLIANT.

Unless we trade for Granderson, thats probably whats going to happen be it Ankiel, Byrd, or whoever. Unless we get decent money back for Bradley, I dont see us having enough money to sign Cameron. I think we had something like 11-12 mil in available pay roll at the start of the offseason, and Grabow just got 3.5 of that.

I'd also like to note that it wasn't a sports radio station. It was either KSHE 95 or 105.7 the Point. I can't remember which. Also, the DJ was extremely unpleased that this was happening.

Wishful thinking by the St. Louis guys. You're one year too late to get us more left-handed Rick.

Do you really think that Piniella isn't still obsessed with getting more LH? If anything, Ankiel fits Piniella's idea of the the LH #5 hitter that he wanted last year but didn't get.

I'm not suggesting that this is a good idea but it's right up Hendry's alley.

I would love to watch that again. I almost peed myself when watching that the first time. Is that guy still posting?

As hilarious as Elias was, no, he quit youtubing, partially due to overwhelming mockery.

I would be shocked and awed if Hendry signed another underperforming Cardinal heel. I can't lie that I snickered when I first heard you guys signed Miles - that just astounding - but Hendry seems to have paid another million to apologize for that. Signing Rick, who has universally been figured out by any pitcher worth his salt - would be a really bad move.

That said, he'd probably pull a Marquis and suddenly produce above league average, leaving the Cardinals fanbase mystified.

wait cardinal fans would be mystified that one of THEIR players got better after leaving town? because we're frequently mystified by the parade of scrubs turning into usable players in st. louis.

He actually had a goodbye video. I remember he had 2 little bothers that started making videos, and people were attacking them as well. I kind of felt bad for them, because the big bro was obviously putting them up to it. His video when we signed Edmonds was an absolute classic.

Haha. Well, in this case I was more specifically referring to Cardinal players generally chased out of town by pissy fans, then signing with the Cubs. I suppose it's a short list. I very well understand the plight of all my Cub fan buddies watching St Louis's mystifying ability to make Jeff Weavers and Ryan Ludwicks play well for a little while.

First rule of Cardinal Pixie Dust Club is you Don't Talk About Cardinal Pixie Dust Club.

Anyway, I don't expect the Cubs to be dumb enough to sign Ankiel. Pitchers have figured out his hellaciously obvious holes in his swing. His defensive range is average, and his outfield arm is absurdly awesome. I made it the last season and a half as a Cards fan legitimizing his depressing 400 PAs by hoping for one of his sniper-rifle-speed put-outs from the warning track. The guy might strike out awfully two or three times a game, but maybe he'll have an awesome throw! Right?! O wait.

You guys should all cross your fingers that the Pirates sign him.
