Stripping isn't effective when you whiff with the other arm. Tillman usually at least partially wraps the man up before he goes for the ball. He didn't do that yesterday, but it wasn't because of the turnover mindset. It was just lousy execution.

And Hillenmeyer had the easy task of just running through the ball carrier and pushing him out of bounds. He didn't do that, either.

Jon sighting!

Mare wasn't even supposed to be the kicker this season. Brandon Coutou (sp?) was but since Mare can kick it out of the endzone on kickoffs, he got the job....

OK, then I'd say that's a decision Mora had at least a part in. So why is he now publicly outing the guy when he knew what he was getting?

Yeah, clearly Mora isn't Mare's biggest fan. I didn't Mare was good, but to be singled out like that is wrong. 4/6 with misses from 43 and 34 wasn't good, but wasn't awful enough to merit this treatment. Criticize the elements of the team that were more of a factor, like say, your offensive coordinator's play calling and your secondary's poor coverage.

And poor tackling.

And crap O-Line play at times.

And that awful throw by Wallace that Briggs picked off.

Or at least blame the injuries.

I wouldn't call it an awful throw. An awful throw is one that is easily intercepted, like the overthrow of Knox by Cutler. Briggs made an amazing catch on what appeared to be an uncatchable ball.

That was my perception anyway.

But then again, I never have been fond of those side routes where a safety or linebacker can get between the QB and WR and turn what is likely a short gainer into a touchdown going the other way. Alright, I'm sold. It was an awful throw.
