This thread is a way for me to track what needs to be done on the site after the move. Feel free to post suggestions and I'll keep the front page updated with the current priority list.

  1. Fix formatting of podcast pages
  2. Fix css rules for nexus style
    • Colors are too glaring
    • quoting system is not obvious - who quoted what
    • Top links are set in "ugly" manner

[*]Fix the "too many smilies" issue

[*]investigate search function, complete index

[*]fix menus in affinity style

[*]fix quote size in affinity style

Completed List:

  • Added a photo gallery to the front end of the site
  • Add cbs ad to nexus style
  • add cbs ad to affinity style
  • figure out log out issues on front end
  • bottom of page ads in nexus & affinity

okay, I think I'm done for the night.

The CSS for the nexus style is very complex and it'll take me a bit to get my hands around the structure. For now, I made the outside borders a bit darker, which seems easier on my eyes, at least.

For those on the styles, I also got the cbs ads added back in - gotta pay the bills!

I also set the session logout time to infinity for the front end. I'm not sure what that will do, but we'll run with it for a while and see what happens. I have a feeling that the user count on the front page will expand rapidly, though. :)

Nobody is complaining about the logging out problem any longer, so I'm going to assume that's fixed.

I have added a new photo gallery component to North Side Baseball. It is intended as a way for everyone to upload images to share with the rest of the community. Each registered user on the site has the ability to add their own galleries and upload photos. Please observe all copyright laws and keep in mind that this is a family-oriented site when choosing what images to share!

The Gallery is located under the "Community" menu on all the pages.

Tim,

Under the "active conversations" tab on the main page the links to the threads don't work. I think they're linked wrong.

thanks, I'll check it out.

Fortunately, that was an easy one. The windows server was case insensitive, but the linux server is case sensitive. The link used the wrong case for the link in the code.

I noticed the "Forum" in the link was capitalized and I remembered somebody mentioning that it now needed to be lower cased, but I wasn't sure if that was it and I didn't want to lead you on some wild goose chase since I know nothing about stuff like that.

Was that the issue?

They all work for me now, by the way.

That was indeed the issue. Thanks again.

Resized windows aren't loading horizontally for me. For example, I have ESPN 360 open on one half of my screen, and a browser window open on the other. If I try to scroll across the browser window on NSBB, I get gray all the way across, even though I might even be typing in that space, like I am now.
