I finally get to watch a game and my [expletive] satellite goes out right at the start of the first Hawks PP. FML.

I guess I should have just gone to the damn game. There seemed to be a ton of empty seats when it started. Bad weather here in D/FW tonight.

The third one was terrible. Slipped through his five hole. The fourth one went off the back or maybe the skate of someone in the high slot, changed direction and went into the open net.

What a boost. Dallas played a great defensive period for 19:57. One lapse and we zapped 'em.

 

Now find the energy again and blow them out of the building in the third.

Dammit I don't want to drop this one to a mediocre team. What is the Hawks record on the road? 9-6-2 or something? They would pull to 9-9 on the road if they lost this one.

BTW, Niemi has been pretty meh since he started getting more PT. Granted it's a small sample size but he's given up 13 goals in his last 4 games, and that's including a shutout in there.

Seems like they play worse against mediocre teams then they do against good teams.

We gave up 5 goals. Offense did their part. Can't get too down on the D or the goalies as they've been spectacular for most of the year. It happens.

 

I'd like to see this team have a better road record though.

that's not even close to being accurate. before tonight he had given up 9 goals in his last 6 games. tonight he only gave up 1 in 37 minutes.

huet gave up the first 4 and was pulled right at the beginning of the 2nd.

 

niemi played the final 37 minutes and was outstanding. he kept us in the game in the 3rd.
