The funny part in all of this is that if we're 2 back heading into September, all of us will be in this thing until then end. I look at it like this; if the Cubs win the division, I'm happy and I'll get ready for the playoffs. If they don't, I will be happy that there's a good chance Hendry will get canned and Lou will walk.

It's a win win :D)

But is it win-win-win?

only if it causes Aaron Miles to opt out.

Anyone got our record when we play on ESPN. Im know we won our last one against the Reds...but It cant be very good. It usually ends up in us gettin hammered.

Please, your a student in lincoln park, you should be out having a good time instead of "dominating" internet chat boards. However, I doubt your the "dominating" force in the social scene that you are around here.

Oh man, the life lectures from the guy who spazzes out and basically lives here are hysterical.

"I'm going to make fun of this guy for being online and posting in a game thread on amessage board on a Wedensday night by being online and positing in a game thread on a message board on a Wedensday night. IT'S FOOLPROOF."

Yeah, we both spend too much time obsessing about a bad baseball team, at least Im willing to admit it and leave it at that.

You do realize that not everyone who is a fan of this team doesn't act like everything is the end of the world or is actually "obsessed" with the team, right? It's this same type of thinking that leads you to brand anyone who doesn't act like the world is coming to an end and being a Cubs fan is such a horrible thing everytime they do poorly or something goes wrong as an "optimist."

In terms of who gets hammered, I'm guessing it's equally applicable to the Cubs and their fans.

Hey, I just refered to you as an optimist, never even said it was a bad thing and you decided to get all personal about it.

Any game in which Ryan freakin' Howard triples is a bad one.

Atleast it's not something like 11 million or so the Brewers are on hook for Bill Hall. It's i think what 3-4 million? Alot of money but not much for a team like the Cubs.

This season is 2004 all over again.

No, the 2004 team would tear this team a new ass if they could somehow play each other

It depends. If it's anytime from April to mid-September? Yes.

Anytime after that? No.
