This is a stupid argument. They are both very good players and are both having great seasons even after missing many games. I think it's a coin toss as to who would have better stats in a short 5 game series.

Aramis, hands down. That's not being a homer either. Beckham has had a really good month. That's it. Aramis has been good for years. Like others have said, I'll take the consistent production from Aramis any day of the week.

 

Now 5 years from now? That might be a different story. Beckham looks like he's gonna be a pretty solid player.

 

So Beckham has to wait five years before he can be considered better than Ramirez?

 

FWIW (and I'm not arguing that Beckham is better than ARam right now), Beckham's first eight games were atrocious, as he hit .071/.133/.071 but since then (nearly two months) he's gone 347/.412/.565.

He has to prove himself to be the hitter Ramirez is. It might not take 5 years, but it certainly takes a lot longer than the service time he has so far.
