Adam Dunn isn't in the lineup for this evening's game, but don't interpret that as a sign of an impending trade. Interim skipper/blogger/video blogger Jim Riggleman had mentioned on Tuesday that several of his regulars would receive off days this road trip. Dunn was due for an off day, having started every game since the all-star break.

Im actually starting to really like Fukudome again, and that would be a painful outfield. Even when hes in his worst slump, Kosuke saves us a lot of runs with his glove. If it were Bradley instead of Fuku, Id be all for. Besides, are you sure this was even rumor or spec or just some goofball caller?

It's not the end of the thread. Dunn just got an off day. It's not like you need to scout Adam Dunn anyway.

That said, it doesn't matter. This trade makes no sense at all.

I also like Kosukue quite a bit, especially in centerfield.

I wouldn't be in favor of this anyway. Fuku's value is increased batting leadoff and playing excellent defense in CF. I think acquiring a 2B that can actually be adequate offensively would help a lot more. Or another good arm for the pen.

Hey, you should expect that sort of scrutiny when you a) aren't exactly a known poster around here, and b) no one had yet corroborated your story.
