except for the phillies and dodgers i don't see how it's so brutal.

It's not brutal but Flordia is decent and seems to give us fits (although that trend is reversing) and Colorado has been very solid and is a contender. It's harder than the Nationals i guess.

sarcasm? that is as easy as one could hope for.

Considering the Cubs aren't a good road team, are you serious?

The Cardinals play the Dodgers 7 times during that stretch as well.

Cardinals play:

@ home versus LA (4)

@ home versus Hou (3)

Off-Day

@ NYM (2)

Off-Day

@ Pitt (3)

@ home versus Cin (3)

Off-Day

@ home versus SD (3)

@ LA (3)

@ SD (4)

Considering teams like the Marlins and the Padres suck no matter where they play, yeah, I think he's serious.

And those were the Cubs that played way worse than the team we saw the last week or so. I think we should win at least 5 of these series (CIN, HOU, PIT, FLA and SD)

I would consider 16-10 a success.

A split with Houston and LA and 2-out-of-3 in 4 of the other 6 series puts them at 14-12. I think you have to consider anything better than that a success. Above .500 against a cumulative .500 opponent is above average. 16-10 is better than .600. That's darn good.

We ar eplaying VERY well right now. I believe we get Soto back in the next week or so, and we go on a TEAR for the month of August. We should be 4-5 games up by the end of this stretch. I'm saying 21-5.

My guess is 15-11:

3 of 4 vs. Houston

2 of 3 at Florida

2 of 3 at Cincinnati

1 of 3 at Colorado

1 of 3 vs. Philadelphia

2 of 3 vs. Pittsburgh

2 of 3 at San Diego

2 of 4 at Los Angeles.

split with houston would be a bad result - wandy's not that great on the road, dempster-oswalt is a good matchup, hampton and ortiz both suck, their best hitter is on the DL. on the other hand, a split in LA would be a very good result.

The Marlins always play us tough, and this goes tenfold down in Miami.
