Although the Astros are really starting to scare me. Their pitching is coming on and it looks like they want to win this division the most out of any team.

Their desire to win will surely put us to rest.

Its about time Franklin gave up some runs. 1 game out, but probably 1.5 after tomorrow as the Cardinals have a makeup game with the Nationals. Still, as long as we take care of our business against the Reds this weekend we have a chance to move into first with the Cardinals playing Philly.

I was definitely 'rooting' for the Astros to lose this one (not the Cards to win). Cardinals have @ Philly, @ LAD (i think @), vs. HOU coming up. They would have taken care of themselves. Houston is red hot and looks like it's gonna take this if everyone keeps sitting around in mediocrity.

Not to mention The Brewers facing the Braves with Vazquez, Hanson, and Lowe taking the mound.

At least the Wild Card is still very much in play. If we were like 7-8 games out of that, I'd be a bit worried, although the Rockies are pretty good.

True, but we have a chance to cool them off ourselves with four games against them next week. I'll take being one game back over two, although I am officially concerned about Houston.

i don't know what this means. and their pitching isn't very good; wandy rodriguez is having a career year, oswalt is still very good, but ortiz, hampton and moehler would have been euthanized about 4 years ago if they were racehorses.

really though, is there anything better than watching the cardinals lose painfully? that was fun.

Well, well. The Cubs have the least amount of losses than anyone in the division. That's hard to believe considering how challenging this season has been.

Perhaps this is last season in reverse? :good:

If the Astros win this division than no one else deserved it anyways because the Astros aren't going on a 2004 Cardinals type tear.
