god damnit

a) it doesn't matter what side of the plate he hits from. we need a hitter, period. stop with this lefty garbage

b) maybe he wouldnt be asking for one if hendry actually signed a lefty who... you know.... hits well from the left side. even when bradley is good, he still sucks from the left side. it's seriously like hendry didn't even look at the splits before he signed bradley. you desperately want a lefty, so you sign a guy who sucks from that side. brilliant.

it's amazing how inept our management is

if it meant getting rid of lou and hendry, i'd gladly accept this team tanking and finishing the season like 20 games under .500. we aren't making the playoffs anyways, and even if we do we'll just get beat down and embarrassed again

This lefty garbage is borderline infuriating. You'd think they'd have learned something, but we just end up with the exact same headline we read last October before the best Cubs team any of us has ever seen got dismantled.

Let's hope Ricketts comes in and changes the philosophy from the top down. This entire organization is one big fail.

I read on Bleed Cubbie Blue that the Ricketts family said they weren't going to raise the payroll or something like that. I think the Cubs need to build a franchise like the Phillies are doing. Through the minor leagues. None of this spending 136 million on an Alfonso Soriano s***

Mark DeRosa was great for us, but I wouldnt call trading him dismantling the team. Other than him and Edmonds, we have the same basic core, and they're not getting the job done unless were facing really bad pitchers.

I think we should just keep firing hitting instructors until someone gets it right.

Edmonds and DeRosa combined for like 140 RBI last year.

Nobodys ever denied that trading DeRosa was stupid, but thats no excuse for the crap and inconsistancy weve gotten from the rest of these guys.

This sounds incredibly simplistic, but DeRo and Edmonds made solid contact quite often. Edmonds was in fact a big home run threat from the left side as well. Edmonds was much, much better than Bradley. DeRo was much, much better than Font. Then you factor in Fuku's very weak production, Soriano's drop off and Ramirez's injury and you have a complete lack of offense for the most part.

I thought this was a joke! :-)) On a side point, it looked like the work Lou has done with Bradley paid off in spades tonight. Nice AB.

I think Cade McNown is looking for work.

We need to accept that there is no one player out there that can come in and right the offense. Its too inconsistant. OK, I take that back, there are guys who can do that, but I dont think that Pujols, A Rod, or Han Ram will be on the market any time soon.

I guarantee Milton Bradley leaves town as one of the most hated Cubs ever.

The recent espn article mentions how he has really poisioned the Cubs clubhouse.

I'd do whatever it took to get rid of this guy. Seriously, what a horrible decision to bring him here. Just another example of how inept the Cubs front office is.

Yes, bringing in a mentally unstable player to play under the pressure of wrigley and the Cub's fan was a terrible move. I was hoping initially that Hendry was on to something, but its obvious more than half way through the season the move is not paying off.

I just never saw it from him. He put up great numbers last year playing in a bandbox with 12 people in the stands. Nobody was there to watch him anyway, it was all about Hamilton and his great story. Plus, they had the luxury of playing him at DH.

Some players can handle the fishbowl of playing for the Cubs. I never thought bradley was one of those guys and, unfortunately, I think we're stuck with him.
