We said 4 starts. That makes sense to me, because 4 starts in a 4-day week is equivalent (average of 1 per day) to 7 in a full week.

Severe Tooterstorms at NC Cubs

Tootielicious at Quakers

The Fighting Manginos at Fuzzy Logistics

Lynx at Galesburg Hand Sanitizers

Saber Metrics at Tampa Bay Rays

Alamo Stealth at Harrys Budcrew

Valenzuela's Screwballs at Northside Baseball

Raw Dawgs at The Eyes of Texas

Two matchups between winning teams in the short week, including the anticipated stats vs. scouts matchup. :)

It's just barely a 4 game week. Most teams are off Thursday, which makes absolutely no sense to me.

Are these people drunk when they make out these schedules? How do they decide what teams have earned another day off during the All Star break?

I may have a problem with 4 starts. Last week I had way too many, but this week, if CBS is right, I will have only 1. This sucks.

Many teams haven't announced their match ups for the second half yet. Surely, one of Zambrano and Lilly, if not both, with be pitching in one of the 4 games the Cubs play next week. I'd guess Blackburn and Jurjens will also pitch next week as well.

Yeah, don't go by CBS's current pitching schedule, as it's currently running under the assumption that rotations are continuing as normal, and merely skipping the ASB days.

For example, from my team, Lannan isn't listed to pitch at all during the weekend Cubs series, but I'm pretty sure he's pitching Thursday, at least. (I'm pretty sure the Nats would let him pitch the other days as well if he could)

You were correct. I panicked

The Quakers/Tootie match-up should also be good.

I got my 3-game playoff cushion back. \:D/

I've gotten a lot of mileage over pitchers released by or passed over by other teams (Washburn, Feldman, Happ, etc.). I don't have what I consider a true #1 starter (Jackson probably comes closest, and perhaps Volquez when healthy), but I have several pitchers who have been #2 or 3 quality lately.

Dang, I would have won if I had access to an internet connection. Lilly was scratched and with Garland's points arg :banghead:

Oh well Krakow was worth it.

On the flip side, now you get Lilly twice and you'll beat me instead. :)

I still think the short week was BS.

Is there another way to do it while still getting every team to play a balance schedule and leaving enough weeks for the playoffs?

Is there a way to roll the short week in with the following week, and make that just one slightly longer week?

I don't know b/c between some teams having that Thurs. off after the break compared to other teams, I like the fact we limited it to 4 starts butI think it is too small of a sample of games. Even in the beg. of the year, it is at least 5 games depending on the weather. What did Philly play like 2 games last week?

The championship round of the playoffs is currently 2 weeks. If it were changed to 1 week like the other playoff rounds that would even out for not counting All-Star week. It seems to me like we did that once 2 or 3 years ago.

I think you count it as is or combine it with the next week. I don't like the idea of ignoring it entirely.

It'd be horrible to have the final be just the final week of the season. You're at the mercy of playoff teams resting their aces and even other players.

Agreed with Rasin. I think we should keep the 4 day week since I don't believe I've ever lost during that week! :) Even with my shi tty dislocated shoulders teams I believe I won.
