As bad as Soriano has been, I'd actually like to see him get MORE aggressive. It seems like he's getting the most hittable pitch for him as the first pitch and he's destermined just to not swing at the first pitch no matter what. I wonder if pitchers are gambling with that: pitch him a sure strike for strike 1, then he'll swing for strike 2 after seeing one go right by and then he's doomed.

But he was still trying to get around on a pitch that was at the far edge of his range
