Cashner was wild, but effective. 4 IP, 2 H(both 2B), 0 R, 3/3 K/BB. Castro went 1/4 with a BB and K.

Everyone hitting for Peoria so far, with 14 runs thru 8. Vitters is 2/5 with a K, Rundle is 4/5 with a 2B, and Flaherty is 2/4 with a BB.

Nice.

I wonder who will replace him in Daytona? Will they just keep Craig Muschko in the rotation or will they promote, say, Chris Carpenter from Peoria?

Hak-Ju Lee went 0/3 with a walk and a strikeout to snap his 8-game hitting streak to start his pro career.

I'd like to see Carpenter moved up. He already seemed fairly polished when I saw him earlier in the season, but he's a bit old for Peoria and I'd like to see him somewhere a bit more age-appropriate.

He's a lock for my Top 10 if he finishes the season healthy after having pitched 140+ innings.

Nice, now if Archer could get some control, the Cubs might have some real nice pitching prospects in the minors again.

Fantastic, thanks. Who replaces him in the rotation?

Actually, this probably deserves it's own thread.

I wanted to see him one more time! :(

Oh well. I'm looking forward to finding out the corresponding move.

I hope it's Beliveau. He should be going more than 4 innings as Shafer's piggybacker.

I doubt that it will be. If it is internal, I would guess Cabrera over JB. Beliveau has been struggling with his command quite a bit lately.

Not sure who is coming since we don't play on Monday.

Has he been struggling with his command? He hasn't walked that many people in June (2 BB in 4 IP yesterday, 1 in 4.2 on 6/21, 1 in 4 on 6/16, 0 in 5.2 on 6/11 and 2 in 4 on 6/6). That's 6 BB in 22.1 June innings (during which time he struck out 33 guys).

True but he goes to 3 balls on almost every hitter and didnt throw a first pitch strike yesterday until he 9th guy he faced. Thats why he has always been piggybacked with someone cause he blows through his pitch count in about 3-4 innings
