I like the sappy Cubs fan stuff but it does get old after a while. I also can't watch/read stuff like this until we win the title.

 

Of course, I'm too lazy to watch the trailer and I am going to sound like an idiot if it isn't a sappy Cubs fan movie.

Yeah, I totally agree. This kind of stuff is for the fans who like the whole mythos of the Cubs that is born from the "Ya gotta believe" and "This is our year" mantras. I'll still watch it though.

Yeah, I totally agree. This kind of stuff is for the fans who like the whole mythos of the Cubs that is born from the "Ya gotta believe" and "This is our year" mantras. I'll still watch it though.

 

I haven't seen it, so I don't really know what it is about. But it does seem a bit strange that a movie was created to commemorate a season that ended so abruptly and disappointingly. I mean don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed last season. But ultimately the outcome was no better than the year before, when we also lost.

From what I remember, this film was commissioned following the 2007 season. Obviously, there was no way of knowing how the Cubs would have done in 2008.
