Is it possible that Randy Wells is actually good?

I didn't know the whole back story on him (on how he was recently converted and hasn't been pitching for very long)...

He's been pitching since 2004.

6 innings in 2003 between Mesa and Lansing.

1.50 ERA for Randy Wells

Is this the Rand-O-Meter?

Sponsored by Cyno.

Hopefully Randy walks a better and does this so it won't be depressing.

Imagine if he gets the no-no and misses the perfect game on that.

Hey, Escobar might have gotten a hit on the next pitch. You never know.

Hypotheticaly, if the rest of the game goes the same way, and thats the only Braves baserunner, would they be able to overturn it and make it a perfect?

I could see that not happening for the same reason they wouldn't go back for CC Sabathia's one-hitter last year — the "pressure" or whatever.

It's kinda different ... I dunno if a player will feel signifiantly more pressure (if any at all) of a perfect game vs. a no-hitter. CC was between a no-hitter and a one-hitter. Very different.

Jimmy Ballgame.

This. Bradley getting hurt on a regular basis plus the inadequate 3B production with Ramirez out are two constant reminders of how bad of an off-season Hendry had. There is absolutely no reason we should have not signed Dunn over Bradley. Plus, if the Cubs wanted to get more left-handed then why sign a guy who hits better right-handed?

Randy Wells is awesome though.

It was clear that it got the bat.

I know that. I'm saying that if his bat was not in the way, it probably would have hit him.

And if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

He wasn't converted to pitching full-time until 2004, iirc. He had a number of ABs between Lansing and Mesa in 2003.
