Phillips with a broken thumb he wants to play through, so I've got another key piece that is day to day now. I've picked up Barmes and will try to manage the situation better this week.

Period 8: 5/25/09 - 5/31/09

Valenzuela's Screwballs (1-6) at Fuzzy Logistics (1-6)

Quakers (4-3) at NC Cubs (5-2)

Saber Metrics (4-2-1) at Tootielicious (7-0)

The Fighting Manginos (2-5) at Lynx (4-2-1)

Galesburg Hand Sanitizers (2-5) at The Eyes of Texas (3-4)

Tampa Bay Rays (5-2) at Alamo Stealth (3-4)

Northside Baseball (5-2) at Raw Dawgs (2-5)

Severe Tooterstorms (3-4) at Harrys Budcrew (3-4)

Matchup of the week: SABR @ Tootie (only matchup of winning teams this week)

Not-Matchup of the week: Screwballs @ Fuzzy (2-12 between them)

So 4-3 vs. 5-2 isn't a matchup of two teams with winning records?

:yahoo:

Of course I would feel better if my defense was doing as well. I think, but I should check, that I have the third worst defense.

hey, i'm unbanned.

shane has two active/healthy guys (dice-k and romero) on his DL.

Welcome back!

At least you haven't had two posts reported within 24 hours of being back.

Got me a pitcher, although I hope he stays healthy! At least I can use Span now, who has been putting up 20 pts a week but been sitting on my bench cuz I had nowhere to put him. Thanks Shane!

I took out Helton and Lopez becuase they were both listed as day to day, I put both of them back in because Helton is playing and I have no other spot to put Lopez.

the west is shaping up kind of interesting with five apparent contenders for three spots. losing weeks hurts me badly though.

My team still isn't very good. I'm doing my best on the waiver wire though.

Sorry I've been a stranger, but my school work has been limiting my NSBB time. I'll try to do better in the future.

I love my staff now. Traded my two most inconsistent starters (who should still be great keepers for Justin) for Billingsley.

Billingsley

Verlander

Cueto

Beckett

Duke

Harden

Escobar

Escobar's been fabulous in his rehab starts so far and is due back this week or next. The only one of those guys I don't feel good pitching in any single matchup would be Duke, who has been awesome so far this year. Four of the top 15 pitchers in the league, baby, with the other three being Beckett, Harden & Escobar. :good:

Harang cost me a win this week. If he had two good outings instead of two stinkers I could have won. :(

At least I have Volquez coming back from the DL tomorrow.
