Also, most teams aren't good if they don't score a lot of runs.

I think the stat of the day should be that Neal Cotts has walked the first batter he's faced in 6 of his 14 appearances.

A quick check of teams with similar overall records to us:

 

Giants: 6-13

Reds: 7-11

Mets: 5-8

Phillies: 0-9

Marlins: 5-12

Tigers: 6-8

Rangers: 1-9

Twins: 3-13 (16 loses total)

I think the stat of the day should be that Neal Cotts has walked the first batter he's faced in 6 of his 14 appearances.

I saw in the paper that out of his 14 appearances, the first hitter has reached 9 times. 6 walks, 2 hits, and a HBP. We need to trade him back to the south side for a bunch of pizza or something. Then we can throw a pizza party at Wrigley celebrating his departure.

 

Okay, maybe I'm just a little bit hungry right now.
