That's the first episode of the always entertaining 24/7 prefight documentary series. You can find the rest of them on YouTube as well.

Anyone else watching? Anyone else even care? This will probably be better than the biggest hyped fights of the last few years--mainly because Oscar De La Hoya isn't fighting.

Prediction: Pacquiao by UD. I think he'd win anyway but because it's boxing I'm going to assume the fix is in so a potential Pacman/Mayweather fight isn't derailed. That's the biggest potential fight out there by a mile.

Hatton hasn't looked all that impressive in his last few fights. Pacquiao wins this one by decision, but only because Hatton refuses to allow Pacquiao to knock him out.

Fight at my house if I don't have to pick up and leave for Las Vegas first thing in the morning. If I have to do that, I might just go see the fight live.

boxing is a hilarious sport, especially at this weight class

They can take a punch but can't throw a KO punch to someone of equal skill level because that person knows how to take the punch.... whatever, fighting as a sport is stupid anyways.

I can't quite comprehend the inspiration behind this post.

Um, ok.

Pacquiao in a 8th round stoppage. Hatton couldn't even knock Malinaggi out. He'll get hit early, revert to his bull-rush brawling style and Pacquiao will out box him and pick him apart.

This is pretty much my thoughts on it. If I thought it would be more competitive I would order the fight, but I don't see Hatton keeping up. If he has any chance, it's because Manny looks pretty gaunt at 140.

Anyone else find it ridiculous no one can even last sparring with Pac? He gets like 2-3 minutes of sparring before the is knocked out/can't breathe.

i know. it shocks me how many sparring partners aren't as good as the boxers they're hired off the street to spar with.

Yes, this is exactly how boxers train for a world championship fight.

I was looking at someones scorecard online and he had the first round 10-7. You dont see that very often, was there 2 knockdowns?

Yeah. That fight was ridiculously lopsided. I want to see Mayweather - Pacquiao. Mayweather is a boring fighter, but right now he's the only one who can beat Manny. It would be interesting to see if Manny's punching skills could overtake Floyd's defense.

Haven't you ever seen Rocky?

Pacquaio actually ended up drawing against Juan Manuel Marquez in a fight where he won the first round 10-6. A lot of people thought Marquez won that fight although it wouldn't have been a draw if one of the judges didn't mistakenly score the round 10-7 instead of 10-6. Interestingly, Marquez is Floyd Mayweather's next opponent.

With head gear on sparring partners normally last long enough to allow the champion boxer to work on some things. That hasn't been the case.

If I'm Floyd Mayweather Jr., I'd be asking for at least 50/50 split for a fight against Pacquiao because after watching this fight, I'd want no piece of him without a huge payday.

10-7 was the correct score. Pacquiao absolutely destroyed Hatton in the first round and then dealt an absolutely crushing and devastating blow that ended the fight with one second remaining in the 2nd round.

That punch had KO written all over it from the moment it made contact with Hatton's chin.
