That play by kosuke last nite, not to get to it is one thing but to dive and let it get behind you is another. If he play it right it was a single to start the inning not a double. And then Fontent swinging at a 2-0 pitch up and in what was he going to do with that pitch. The pitch has been in trouble wait for your pitch not swing at pitchers pitch. Many times this year I think the Cubs are one of the dumbest teams maybe because their losing but when your team is injure smart teams make fewer mistakes.

Fukudome nearly had that ball. Bradley did a good job of backing him up there - with Amezaga's speed, I suspect it wouldn't have made a difference if Fukudome dove or not.

it happens to every team. but since most of us watch most of the cubs games and not much else, we don't notice them happening to other teams.

Answer: No.

Don't be an armchair coach/manager/bitcher.

I would say yes, but because of other things.

Why the hell did Milton sit a week, yet not serve his suspension?

Why the hell is Aramis out a week, yet not just going to the 15 day dl?

Why is Aaron Miles and Joey Gathright even on our team?

I'm pretty sure the Brewers are a stupider team. I've seen them make so many boneheaded plays against us over the years, and I'm not even going to mention Ned Yost. It could be worse.

Because then we wouldn't have him for this entire next week

What's to say he will play before then anyways?

Well they said yesterday he's almost ready and he pinch hit today so.....

Yeah, but they also said that nothing was wrong with Mark Prior for what, 4 years?

So we're comparing every injury to Prior now?

If they didn't know that he was really going to b back in the next couple days they wouldn't have pinch hit with him and reset his whole DL timetable.

I hope your right, I just wonder if it was worth it to miss Ramirez for two weeks. I mean the alternative is a whole week and a half of Aaron Miles starting. Just seemed pretty boneheaded to me.

Given the circumstances, I think it's very much worth it. We're talking about another full week that we would have been without him. With the way the offense is performing, we really need him back.

I agree with that. I guess the issue should be the fact we spend as much money as we do and yet we do not have a backup third basemen.

That really has nothing to do with the amount of money we're spending, though. It appears that Hendry and Lou felt that either Fontenot could do a good job at 3B when Aramis was out or that Gathright was more valuable than a backup third baseman (although they did bring in Corey Koskie apparently to fill that third base gap). I don't agree with them on either, but I don't think it has anything to do with the money we're spending.
