I really wish teams didn't have success with Vancouver's style. It can't be good for the sport when teams win with it.

NHL knows its a problem. For some reason they have not done a very good job of consistently calling interference. To make it worse, they almost never call interference when a team is on the PK.

And they almost never call it in the playoffs, for better or worse.

This also. The announcers dont help either. Pronger got called for an interference the other night and the announcers called it a weak penalty. Well it was weak considering what doesnt get called, it was however a blatant interference.

The reason is because the current definition of interference is much much different from what it was a decade ago. The current interference is relatively new to anyone over 35.

And the Canucks aren't playing the interference game. They are dropping back, taking away neutral zone space and clogging up all the lanes, which is making it very difficult for the Hawks to cross the blue line with the puck. The hawks should be playing a dump and chase game and try to take the space the Canucks are giving them, but for some reason they keep on trying to take the zone and they keep getting stonewalled.

if the guy so obviously dived, why are there offsetting penalties?

No [expletive]. Okay, Hordichuk did get the dive, but still. Don't call it on Eager!

I never understood this either...its like calling a charge and a block in basketball.

This game sucks.

Get used to it. We have 12:00 more minutes of this [expletive], or the Hawks score. Whichever comes first. But I'm not optimistic.

yeah this game is over. oh well, nice season.

Appears that way. If they are going down, I wish it was at least entertaining. 'Nucks are making sure that doesn't happen. SOAB.

YOU CALLING ME OLD SONNY? yes I am over 35

Has the rule changed....used to be impeding someone without the puck(clogging up the neutral zone)

I agree with you though, I think the Hawks need to get a good forecheck going to combat this. So far they have not seemed to interested.

Exactly. It's not their style. That needs to change right now.

The problem is that the 'Nucks are playing this [expletive] style and have STILL gotten the better of the chances in this period.

I can't figure this. The effort just doesn't seem to be there.

Yeah, but when the Canucks are giving you the space behind them and not the space in front of them you have to take it. Of course, taking the zone with control of the puck is preferred but if it isn't working you have to adapt. This one is on Q.

Oh, I'm not arguing with you. Perhaps this is why Q has a bad rep in St. Louis and Colorado. Can't coach in the playoffs.

Such a gifted offensive team and they have turned completely to [expletive]. Unbelievable.

Reminds me of past Cub teams with their inconsistency.

At this point just put the puck to the net and crash. It doesn't have to be a hard shot, it just has to get near the net. Wreak havoc in the crease, don't stop until the whistle and we're bound to put one in or get a PP.

This sounds like something that was being said last October.
