The Cardinals.

Yes, as long as TLR is there, I will be worried about them.

But here we are talking about issues from last year that didn't get resolved. That bullpen is wretched again.

Jason Motte's is Kyle Farnsworth minus 4 MPH. Fastball as straight as can be, and he can't keep it low.

I'm worried about Milton's flagrant showboating over routine grounders:

It was a.... ugh nevermind.

Oh, right.

That would fly right over my head.

I don't really blame you around here.

Yeah, Bradley's showboating, but what the hell is Gathright doing? Running backwards just for the heck of it?!

There's a car just out of the frame. He's working on a new jump.

I do blame you for thinking they're worth worrying about, though. :)

It's just a product of where I live. I'm worried about them doing well because there is a direct correlation, thanks to my friends, between their success and my misery.

Wretched again? I'd like to know what your idea of good is if you considered the Cubs bullpen wretched. Me thinks you don't know what you're talking about.

Kevin Gregg. He's brutal.

Did you see him pitch? One grounder hit hard, the rest was crap contact that had hitters fooled. Stayed ahead in the count and did the job if his defense didn't hand over a chap run.

You might want to reread the previous posts. They're talking about the Cardinals.

Kevin Gregg. He's brutal.

He's really not, but ok.

See what you say in June when he's blown three or four saves.

I'd rather have Ceda on the roster.

Kerry Wood blew 4 saves by June 1 last year. How brutal was he?

Kevin Gregg is not Kerry Wood, however, I'd say that's brutal and probably a reason why Wood is not with the team. If his name wasn't Wood you wouldn't have even made that post.

So the fact that you'd rather have Ceda on the roster is justification for saying he's brutal?

He's not.

Your made up hypothetical isn't really much support for your case either.

Blown saves? Really?

Let's judge starting pitchers on wins and losses too.

Wood's performance last year likely has nothing to do with why he's not with the team anymore. He was very, very good.

No I made my point on the number of walks/9 innings Gregg has had over the last two years and the number blown saves that Gregg has amassed in his short time as a closer.

Also, I don't need any support, this thread is about small sample size, but whatever, he sucks.

You don't think blown saves is a good measure of the guy whose supposed to be saving games for the team? It's not the same thing as a win.
