Tony Gwynn Jr placed on waivers

Recommended Posts

I like TGJ better than I like Gathright. I don't think I'll ever understand that signing.

TGJ seems like a guy that would be pretty anonymous if not for his father's HOF career.

As far as the Gathright signing the only thing that makes any sense is that they were close to trading Fukudome to Seattle. That assumes logic. Hendry may have just wanted him because he's LH and fast.

I like TGJ better than I like Gathright.

Why?

I'm not a fan of Gathright at all, so it wouldn't take much for me to like someone over Gathright. However, based on what I've seen of Gwynn, which I will admit is mostly against the Cubs, he's been pretty solid.

Here is Gwynn's career line vs. the Cubs: .391 .423 .435 .858

Wow. I had no idea Gathright was that good. I have officially changed my mind and believe that Gathright is way better than Gwynn.

Good to hear because your 25 AB reasoning almost convinced me until I saw these 150 plate appearances. Now it's fact that Gathright is pretty solid.

What's going on here?

We have a :starwars: duel as to who is better Gathright or Tony Gwynn, Jr.

Sit back and enjoy the ride, SSR.

It's not that at all... Just sarcasm over some terrible reasoning...

Ok, but it was definately amusing as to why two people were debating who is less crappy Gwynn, Jr or Gathright.

This is all TT's fault. He had to go and ask me why I liked Gwynn more than Gathright. Who cares? They both suck.

What do you like better, a poke in the eye or a punch in the nose?
