Limit the number of inbedded quotes

It's annoying to read threads with like 10 quotes within eachother. Could it be limited to like three or four somehow?

yes, it's a setting in the software. It's at the discretion of the mods to turn it on or not

I wish it just eliminated the oldest quote automatically when you hit the quote button to begin with, but that's just being picky.

Yeah, I was just thinking that. It's really not that hard to go back and do it manually, most of the time. I'm just lazy.

There has to be a way to set it so it automatically deletes the other quotes though, right? On this other message board I post at, if you try and quote a post that already has a quote in it, it deletes the original posters quote and you just quote whatever they said in the thread besides the quote.

I looked into the options, but there doesn't seem to be one that would just delete the oldest quote. Looks like you're going to have to manually fix the quotes once it reaches 5.
