You beat my game thread by about 15 seconds. Anyways, Harden is starting to scare me. He's only hit 89 once and he's throwing an abnormal amount of change ups. Maybe he's just working on that pitch, but it's still something to keep an eye on.

He threw mostly fastballs in the first inning, and got to mid 90s a few different times. Since he's been throwing mostly change ups I believe.

There was talk that he was locating his fastball well enough in his last outing (minor league or whatever it was) but that he was still having trouble locating his change. He might just be working on that today.

bradley is 3-3 (all singles) and is hitting .512 for the spring.

 

kosuke is down to .100, on the other hand.

 

harden has been pretty good (at least numbers-wise) except for a pair of homers.

I saw him sitting between 90-94 in the first 2 innings and then it appeared he went to pretty much just throwing changeups. I am not to worried about him, he gets 1 more start in ST (sat. I believe) so that means he won't start until the Brewers series. He will also probably get another side session/sim game in before he makes his first start of the season.

i love late spring games when it's the regular 25 man roster, a couple of guys fighting for the last spot or two, then a bunch of guys who are in rookie ball. kyle reynolds and drew rundle just got in the game for the cubs, and some pitcher named waddell got an out.
