Truffle's wildcard is pretty easy to guess
I think he'd actually make more sense as the wildcard for the second half of the season, since he's going to start the year in AAA.

I'll post the list of wildcards as soon as I hear back from one person who submitted his pick by the deadline, but it was someone already listed in one of the Groups. I didn't catch it until I pulled the list together.

Couple more...

The Logan picked Chris Davis and he is in Group D

BurtonBell picked Mike Napoli and he too is in Group D

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Re: The Logan and BurtonBell

You each have 24 hours from this post to get in your new WC picks. You can post them here. They will not count as a transaction. However, if you do not post a WC pick within 24 hours, you will have no WC entry for the first half of the season.

In the early "It sucks to be you" category comes the following news:

- Gordon Beckham starts the season at Double-A.

- Matt Wieters will spend the first 8 weeks of the season in the minors.

- Matt Murton was optioned to Triple-A this afternoon.

the guys i considered at my wild card:

wieters - will be in the minors too long during the first half

the uptons - does b.j. rebound and find the power that he had? does justin break out this year?

nelson cruz - having a nice spring - i picked him and am hoping that his shortened swing means he is finally ready to hit in the bigs

lastings milledge - home park hurts him

a guy that nobody picked, but was actually my second option, was russell branyan. he's expected be in a platoon at 1B for the m's, and yes he strikes out a ton, but he also will hit 20+ homers this year if he gets off to a decent start and gets most of the playing time against RHP.

Every year I take a risk with my pick and end up with someone who never hits any homers. I just decided to take my guaranteed 10-ish this year and went with Mike Fontenot.
