Not sure if you posted this info somewhere, but I couldn't find it... will this take place via these forums or will there be a separate CBS draft for it?

A combination of the two. Since not everyone is on here just yet, I will use a combination of here and CBS to conduct the draft. When a player is selected, I will go in and manually enter that player into a team's roster, and he will no longer appear in the free agent database.

The Major League Portion of the 2009 Northside Baseball 2 Expansion Draft is now open...

Cubbie, I cannot believe Pujols didn't go first....you my friend stole that one.

Until his shoulder falls off.

Sorry t be the bearer of bad news, but it was his elbow, and he had it fixed this offseason. AROd was still a great pick.

Until he gets suspended. 8-[

Not that I love ARod, but if Bud suspends him, that would be BUSH league. The integrity of this whole situation is ridiculoous, and if ARod gets suspended, so should every player who didn't break the rules and got caught. I'm not saying it's okay that ARod cheated, but so did alot of others, and Bud knows who they are. If he suspends ARod, he needs to sack up and suspend everyone who tested positive. If he does that, however, it's absurd, because NO RULES WERE BROKEN.

I completely agree. Baseball needs to move forward already. What's done is done.

I did my research ahead of time and knew I would take either Arod or Pujols with the latter being first choice. This protected me from making a stupid drunk pick as I went with my roommate last night to the bars. I'm not happy to have a reason to root for Pujols (first time I've ever had him on a team) but I'm happy I got the best hitter and I'm not just talking about the available ones.

Generally speaking the top 5 fantasy players are:

1. Hanley Ramirez

2. Jose Reyes

3. A-Rod

4. David Wright

5. Pujols

If Pujols was is the Yanks line-up as opposed to the Cards line-up he'd probably be higher on the list. He's a great player, but I'm happy with A-Rod at #1.

Depends on if you factor in position or not. If so then I agree with the list. If not then I put Pujols right with Hanley in terms of overall production of stats.

I don't usually draft without thinking of position, but I agree with you on that.

Production wise he's right there on top. If he were a SS he'd be the undisputed #1.

In this scoring system, Jose Reyes is not a top 5 player. Think Ryan Howard, Mark Teixeira, and Lance Berkman. Reyes projects as the 14th best player this year.

Is it a 12 or 24 hour limit? We've hit 12 hours.

Moving forward, we will honor a time limit. Kyle will have until 11:30 pm CST to make his pick or he will be skipped. I am going with 11:30, because that will be 12 hours from the time the Pujols pick was logged at CBS. If he gets skipped, he may jump back in at any time to make his pick. Moving forward, everyone will have a 12 hour window (from the time the previous pick is logged) in which to make their pick.
