Man, I wanna pick again. Anyone want to trade their 7th rounder this year for a sixth rounder next season or former first round pick Detwiler?

 

Is this the 7th round? I want one more pick although there are some good picks out there - I just don't have any roster room.

I believe so...6x16 = 96, so pick 97 should start the 7th round, right?

when the draft is over, we'll be able to pick up free agents as long as the roster stays legal, right?

 

Also...

 

I assume that the rule is the same as last year...if we are going to put a player on IR during the offseason, if he doesn't open the season on IR, we lose him, right?

I wanted Joey Devine, but Kevin took him. So, I just took who I thought was the best available.

 

I only need to make 2 more picks to complete my roster, so I'll be scrounging for a reliever.

no, what was the question on sandoval? Tim, yes, same rule on IR. You can add/drop at will. once you legalize your roster, you can also make trades.

 

I'll take Bonderman.

no minor leaguers until the prospect draft is over though.

I just asked how many games he has to play to be eligible at C. He played 11 last year in limited time in the majors, but didn't retain his eligibility there. Does he now have to play 10 at C to get eligibility? Also, if he's named the starting 3b for SF, will he be automatically eligible there, even though he didn't play any 3b last year.

yes, he needs to play 10 to get there this year. if he starts at 3b opening day, he is eligible there.

yes, he needs to play 10 to get there this year. if he starts at 3b opening day, he is eligible there.

 

 

Figured so.. thanks. Hopefully by the end of the year he has the eligibility to be my every day catcher. That would be nice.
