Uniforms?

Sorry if this thread has already been made, but today I was over on Chris Creamer's Sports' logos site and I noticed that the Cubs have dropped the blue hats with red bills. Does anyone know anything else about this decision or when this happened?

Anyways, I think that the Cubs have one of the best uniform sets in baseball (along with the Yankees, Tigers, and Dodgers). While I didn't mind the red-bills, I think that having the all blue hat is an improvement.

Yeah the red billed road caps are history I believe. Kinda weird, most teams are adding more hats/uniforms/etc.

I know. all the cardinals fans are going to be like "hey what kind of hat is that" and then I will be like "a cubs hat" and then they will be like "no its not you're just a typical cubs fan you dont even know any of the players" and then i will be like "damn".

I wish they'd re-work this logo into the uniform set. Maybe have it replace the walking bear on the alternate or at least use it as a shoulder patch.

The road unis looked like this when paired with a solid blue cap. It streamlines the entire uniform to only have two colors competing for your eye instead of three.

I wish something could be done to spruce up the grays. They just seem a little boring. I guess every team has boring road unis, though.

 

I'm still waiting on the 80's pullovers to make a comeback. . . . .same thing for stirrup socks.

That is a lot better. It would probably look better if the numbers were blue also. We're one of the only, if not the only, teams with different colored names/numbers (on the road jersey).

i favor the third jerseys in baseball. what houston did last year was not only novel (in these days) but i think welcome.

 

baseball is the only team sport in this country where offensive players and the defense almost have no interacion with each other as to where there would be a confusion between who is who at a quick glance. the d-backs and astros could wear their red during the same game and nobody would have any problem figuring out who was on offense and who is on defense. there needs to be more color in the game. its almost unheard of to have black and white televisions these days. more color can't be a bad thing. i don't understand why the cubs dropped the road hat and before that the third jersey. just wearing all grey and all white (even if broken up with pinstripes) makes a very bland combination.

 

 

btw, the twins have navy lettering and red numbers on their greys. i think we're the only two with different colored numbers and letters.
