Dude just barely got win #24 for picking 150 pts or more on that UConn game... 3 more for the million, wow.

Barring a good run in the last three days by one of the next couple of people, the guy already has $10,000 sewn up. I know it's not a million, but it's nice to have that little bit all but in your back pocket.

is there a need for espn to "reset" the game? isn't there automatic restarting for each player when you lose?

Probably since they don't want to give away the million and it creates more of a challenge. Notice how a few people are close now, with the closest being 24. If the game never ended then they could just wait until three obvious picks came up so they would have a better shot. Instead since there is only three days remaining they might have to pick games they don't feel confident in to increase their streak.

I'm kind of glad they're resetting it, since my record is horrible.

The guy that had 25 wins picked the Spurs to beat the Hornets; and they lost. Whoops.

When you're two wins away from a million, I don't know why you would pick on that game.

I know, but still. I'm sure there were safer picks than that game the final few days before it resets.

True but it was quite obvious the streakmaster was whoring picks from him... look how many picks there's been the last few days.

Another interesting thing I saw.... if drock were to get to 26.... and bet his streak on a game... would you bet 50K on the OPPOSITE outcome?

I know I sure would.

You could lose both since the game is rarely a Pickem in Vegas while it is always that way on the Streak. It will only be a couple point spread, but it's still too risky when you're talking about money that you simply don't have.

You could still probably get a Pickem in Vegas, just with worse odds than on a point spread bet. You might have to bet $50K to win $20K, but if you have the money to place that type of a bet (to counter your Streak choice), go for it. Obviously you'd have to pick a game that must have a winner or a loser (like basketball or baseball) rather than something like soccer, but it would be possible.

One other thing, i really doubt someone playing "streak for the cash" has the ability to even come up with $50k in order to place that kind of bet.

1-0 so far. I feel like Turkey - Spain would have been an interesting one to watch on TV.

and I hope I'm not the only one curious how the Pick Off at the end is going to work. It just sounds so stupid.

I was watching it sporadically here at work... WOW.... I got screwed... I had Turkey the whole way and lost in the 90th minute!!

0-1 so far.

I just joined this madness. I've got the pistons tonight. Not sure how this whole shebang works but it looks easy enough.

EDIT: and of course they're down by 12.

Easy to play, not easy to play well.

Also just so you know... you can pick more than one game a day, the game you currently selected just must be over.

I was going to pick the Pistons but I went with the Sabres instead. Ugh, same result. Got the Suns tonight though.

Thrashers!

I think once baseball starts I'm ONLY going to pick Hockey and Baseball... I'd have like an .800 win %. Hockey is pretty easy to pick if you follow the NHL and follow trends instead of stats/records.

Thanks for boosting my winning percentage NFL draft. 7 out of 8 in it so far. If only the Broncos weren't dumb with their first pick.

Well I'm picking the Canucks tonight.

That's the good thing about SFTC... I can pick AGAINST the Blackhawks and if the Hawks end up winning I happily take the loss on SFTC... however if the Hawks lose, I still win.

i've always had a pretty good winning percentage, but i can't for the life of me get past the 3 wins in a row threshold. it's so frustrating.

same with me, my winning percentage is up around 70% but and i can't get past the 4 correct streak. win 4, lose 1, win 4, lose 1, etc.
