CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs announced their Spring Training broadcast schedule on Friday, which will feature nine games televised by Cubs broadcast partners (three by Comcast SportsNet and six by WGN-TV). In addition, WGN Radio will carry 11 spring games. In all, 17 of Chicago's 39 games will be aired on local radio or TV.

The first spring game to be televised by WGN-TV will be March 4 at 9 p.m. CT, when the Cubs host the White Sox in Las Vegas, NV.

Comcast SportsNet's first telecast will pit Chicago against the Seattle Mariners on March 22 at 3 p.m. CT from Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Ariz.

The Cubs' spring schedule opens Feb. 25, when Chicago squares off against the Los Angeles Dodgers at HoHoKam Park at 2 p.m. CT. That contest will be carried on WGN Radio.

All games start at 1:05 p.m. Arizona time unless otherwise noted.

Yet another ST where the most popular team in Chicago doesn't get even half it's games broadcast. Meanwhile the sox will have 80-90% of their games on tv and radio.

Winter loses its hold each February on the day where one can turn on 720 AM and hear "Chicago Cubs baseball is on the air!"

I'm pretty pissed the Yankee Stadium game isn't on WGN

That makes two of us. I hate WGN.

it's the worst. any news on whether WGN America is going HD this year? What a joke that station is.

WGN America went HD a little over a year ago. Currently Dish Network, U-Verse, and Fios have it. I'm not sure about anybody else, although I'm pretty sure that DirectTV is one of the ones that doesn't have it yet.

one of the rare cases where Dish has something DirecTV doesn't. Hopefully they resolve it because I actually prefer it when games AREN'T on WGN these days
