Yeah, I'd like to give Saito a shot if he's healthy, but it would have to be on a incentive laden deal. Who knows, maybe Percival, Gagne failures will give teams looking to strike lightning in a bottle with a old injured ridden vet a pause this off season before they give them huge 1 year deals.

If he has anything left, I wouldn't mind giving him a $1 mil deal with another 2.5 in incentives based on appearances and what not...

Doubt he'd take it though. I think he'll end up taking an offer similar to what LAD already offered. I think he's holding out hoping to get more on the market, and will circle back when the money isn't there.

Dodgers and Andruw Jones cut ties

 

The Dodgers had grown tired of Andruw Jones and he of them, and on Friday the two sides reached an agreement that will allow them to call it off after one forgettable season.

 

Jones is likely to be released or traded in the coming weeks after the team and player agreed to defer about $12 million the outfielder would be due in 2009, as first reported by MLB.com
