Meh if Texas loses I dont think they should drop hardly at all. They played the gauntlet the last month and would be 3-1 in it. Even if Tech moves up though, its their turn to run the gauntlet we will see how they fare.

Well, Oklahoma is No. 4 right now and I don't see how you can drop Texas below them, so with Tech moving up into the top 3 (some combination of Bama, Penn State and Tech), you would have Texas 4 and Oklahoma 5. Unless of course you push Florida head of one or both. But I can't see Texas dropping further than fifth (if Florida hops them).

Looking through the top 25, I don't understand why it exists. Tulsa, Minnesota and North Carolina probably have no business being there.

Right, and after this week Tech plays Ok State and OU. Things are going to be a cluster in the coming weeks in the Big 12

I know. I'm just saying that illegal contact could be called instead (not that they could change the initial PI call to that based on the replay) of PI. Is that correct?

if TT wins, how high do they jump? #2? #3?

I'd imagine 2, ahead of PSU, but behind Alabama.

Hard to have them jump Florida after a 49-10 win. You'll probably see both Tech and Florida jump Oklahoma (who isn't doing anything bad themselves) and jump Texas. My guess is you will see a top ten like so:

1. Alabama

2. Penn State

3. Florida

4. Texas Tech

5. Texas

6. Oklahoma

7. USC

8. Oklahoma State

9. Utah

10. Boise State

and after those team you can pretty much flip a coin between UGA and Ohio State. I don't know if UGA will fall much lower. They may fall below Mizzou, but Mizzou was pretty uninspiring today.

I diasgree. Butch Davis really has that Tarheel program turned around. They might be the best team in the ACC, which isn't saying much, but certainly is deserving of a top 25 ranking.

yeah if you don't think that those teams do not belong in the top 25 you have to find teams that do.

I know Florida destroyed Georgia today, but I expect Tech to jump Florida because they are undefeated while Florida isn't. The three undefeated teams will be 1-2-3 with Florida at 4 and Texas 5.
