I think college overtime would be improved by starting it at midfield as opposed to the 25 yard line. It's less of a kicking contest, scores wouldn't be artificially inflated by lots of OTs, and it leaves open more parts of the playbook.

But that loss is definitely not on the ND kicker. The Irish offense just sucked in the 2nd half.

So much for "schematic advantages"

i like starting it at the 50 or even the flipside 40. its unfair to teams who are defense first teams.

Well it does leave open the question of what to do when teams don't make it into field goal range. Making midfield automatic 4 down territory would be pretty arbitrary and a distortion of the game. Not that the current overtime isn't already a distortion.

Of course I realize that teams often lose in a fashion like that and I'm not really whining about it, but I'm just trying to point out that Ole Miss is better than their 5-4 record suggests.

It's not like Florida got beat by Mississippi State or something.

You got a believer in this Bama fan. Ole Miss by all rights should be closer to 8-2, or 7-3 at worst. If Snead can developed into a consistant passer, you guys would have won. Not to mention I love Ole Miss's RBs, McCluster, and Davis, I can't think of the third one, but he is a good one, also.

Eason and Bolden are the other two runners. McCluster and Bolden are both averaging over 5 ypc this season. They put up 233 rushing yds today on an Auburn defense that normally only allows 128 yards a game on the ground.

texas better win this game, i can't imagine how bad these threads will be when meph is making excuses for them, too.

Florida loses, he picks up Texas. Texas loses, Florida dominates the No. 8 team in the country. That's a pretty nice problem to have.

Eh, it's auto 4 down zone in close games in the last 10 minutes of the fourth quarter. Sometimes before that even.

screw Texas, I hope they lose. I love BCS craziness. The more BCS madness that exists the sooner we might get to some form of playoff in CFB.

three undefeated teams would make more BCS madness than UT losing.

two undefeated teams and a 1 loss team jumping Penn State would be even more madness than UT losing.

Root for those instead.

BCS craziness is a strong reason they DON'T want a playoff

Texas has zero balance offensively and TTU is eating them up.

Yep. It's somewhat alarming that Tech has enough defense to do this though. When was the last time Tech had the best defense in their conference? SWC days?

Wouldn't TT,PSU, and Bama all still be undefeated?

OKLAHOMA HAS 49 POINTS IN THE 2ND QUARTER. DISCUSS.

OU scored what 55 in the first half last week and 3 in the 2nd half? (im not trying to make a point here, i just find that funny).

Nebraska's defense is terrible. Feel sorry for Bo.

it'll be like last week. OU will score like 10 in the second half.

The most points i've ever seen scored in person was back in like 1990 or 1991 when I saw Penn State beat Cincinnati 81-0

Do you really think TTU would beat Oklahoma State, Missouri and Oklahoma?

probably not, but since no one plays defense in the Big XII, why bet against the team that throws for 400 yds/game?

I found myself almost feeling sorry for Nebraska when we played them, but I quickly got myself together.
