In additioning to untucking the jersey, Braun held a pose that would've made A-Ram blush. Then, in the post-game interview when he was asked if he was lacking in confidence at the plate lately, he followed all that up with this gem:

 

"I don't need more confidence. I'll never need more confidence."

 

If he wasn't a Brewer, I think I'd definitely hate him too. Hell, even now his "confidence" is a little much for me to handle, and I've always kind of been annoyed with his canned responses to questions, whether it be postgame interviews or sitting down with Jim Rome.

The Sox loss was clearly the umpire's fault. The White Sox should be able to hand pick their crew before every series, everyone knows that.

I can't argue that, but I found it comical that Hawk thinks the White Sox should get the best umpires because their game is more important than everyone else's.

I can't argue that, but I found it comical that Hawk thinks the White Sox should get the best umpires because their game is more important than everyone else's.

 

Well, at least for today, the Sox/Twins game is the most important game. He does bring up a good point though ... maybe MLB should switch around umpiring crews at the end of the season so meaningful games get the best umps.

i'm sure umps are the reason the sox can't protect a 5 run lead.

 

big games in the metrodome are awesome; that place can get louder than any other park in baseball, and they really have a home field advantage there.
