The only football that holds any meaning to me this season.

I like the Titans' chances against the Vikings. I doubt LenDale will have much success at all against the stout Minnesota run defense, but if they get a little creative with CJ, he could do a lot of damage to that Minny secondary.

I'm watching Kerry Collins closely in this game. He looked pretty decent Sunday against the Texans and this is a weaker secondary than he faced last week. Hopefully Justin Gage will be healthy to give Kerry another weapon to throw to.

I also expect a good number of either sacks or turnovers by the Titan defense. They've been getting great pressure on QBs so far this year, and I doubt Gus Frerotte will be running away from VandenBosch or Kearse. He'll either get sacked a lot or the ball-hawking D will have chances to pick off some (potentially) hurried throws.

Titans win 21-10.

Raiders lose 56-10.

Well, maybe not that bad, but if you haven't picked San Diego in survival football and you're still alive, I'd recommend going with the Chargers this week.

Even tho the Raiders are bad, and the Chargers are suppose to be good. I told myself to never pick a road team. And never pick a divison game.

Over/under percentage that Lane Kiffin actually really gets fired Monday if Oakland loses

I'll be at the Cowboys-Redskins game. It'll be my first Cowboys game this year!

Nice!

I have season tix, but I didn't make it to the first Monday night game. If things go well, I should be at 5 games this year.

That is awesome. I have never been to a pro football game yet.. I willl though.

Dallas is going to get spoiled when the New Stadium goes up, that thing looks ridiculous.

Well it's a 100% guarantee it will be talked about regardless of how the Raiders do but I'm saying a 60% chance he gets fired if they lose.

Hell, there's probably a 20% chance or so that Davis fires him during the game.

Wooooo, we get the Packers-Bucs game down here.

As for the game itself, I'm expecting us to win a close one even with our secondary completely banged up. Griese threw the ball 67 times last week, but the one stat that a lot of people aren't mentioning is that the Bears' defense had 0 sacks on him. I think our offense should be able to stay out on the field long enough to give the defense a breather and our front seven should be able to get enough pressure on him to force some errant throws and to drag him down a few times.

Woodson has been playing with a broken toe and he was "hurting" on Sunday after the game, but he should play. Collins has a back contusion and Bigby has a hamstring injury. Both are questionable, I'm just hoping one of them plays while Aaron Rouse fills in at the other safety spot. Win this game, and we should have a two game lead in the North again with Minnesota facing a tough Titans team on the road and the Bears facing one of the most explosive offenses in the league.

Given my team's luck so far, I fully expect Patrick Willis to decapitate Reggie Bush. Reg will run a draw play and next thing you'll see is a helmet with a head still in it rolling down the field.

Oh yeah, it's a definite it'll be talked about.

I just find it funny that after every game so far this year, there's been a story that Al Davis is just about to fire Lane Kiffin - and yet it hasn't happened so far.

I actually bought the first couple of stories (thanks to the known idiocy of Al Davis), but when it popped up again this past Monday, I just laughed.

Deciding that trying to dig out of an 0-3 hole wouldn't be difficult enough for Brady Quinn, the Browns elect to go 0-4 by starting Derek Anderson against Cincinnati.

Also, I'm scared to death that Matt Ryan will torch the Panthers even though on paper he shouldn't.

It really is funny at this point. All I can do is laugh also.

It's ridiculous enough that he's considering firing a coach like Kiffin, but this is becoming a circus.

that would violate the first rule of survival football; never pick a team coached by norv turner.

I had to drop a nice wad of cash to make sure I'll have seats in that new stadium. I'll be pretty high up, but I think it will be worth it.

I find it hilarious that Marc Bulger gets benched. Trent Green will definitely be able to get the offensive line to start blocking. Maybe he'll also get the defense to stop sucking.

Interesting comments from Roy Williams.

Link

“Everybody would like to stay where they are drafted,” Williams said. “But at the same time, everybody would like to go back home as they get older. My home is Texas.”

“I think this place is cursed,” Williams said. “I asked our chaplain if he knew anyone who could christen Ford Field to get it right for us.”

Survival football is dicey this week. a lot of trap games in there.

Buffalo over St. Louis

San Diego over Oakland

Denver over Kansas City

Those three all look pretty safe to me.
