I can only follow on MLB.tv in Philly and as a result I spend half my time listening to the broadcasts of the other teams. That said, I can safely say with all Cubs-bias aside, you and Bob are the best announcing team in baseball (if not all pro sports). Simply put: Thank You.

 

If only we could have you guys for the playoffs.

And you're right about one thing: we do deserve it! This team, and its fans, deserve to win it all. We also deserve more seasons with you and Bob in the booth.

P.S., You're totally right on about Bob's personality. He makes me better every day. Just a joy to work with.

 

You guys really are fun to listen to, you play off each other very well I think. And as far as the guy saying you aren't really a Cubs fan, I think it would be darn near impossible to fake the enthusiasm you put out when a big HR is hit or some other huge event happens during a game. If all that was fake then you should be putting your resume in for a Hollywood job.

Who cares about his voice? His calls are awesome and he actually has true enthusiasm.

 

He adds tidbits that other broadcasters would never think of adding. I think if you knew anything at all about broadcasting you'd realize how hard it is to do what he does... and he does a damn fine job of it.

I love sabermetrics. I can't drop in too much of it because many of the stats aren't considered mainstream and I don't want to make this a college course in mathematics. A lot of it is over my head, but I LOVE that really smart people are making an effort to tell us what's really going on. Our eyes lie to us all the time. The data doesn't lie if used properly.

 

Signing off for the night. Disappointed TreyZ didn't reply. I was hoping we'd have a fun back and forth, but he chose not to I guess. I honestly enjoy the banter with my critics because it's refreshing to hear someone's unfiltered opinions. I honestly mean that. I don't hide from criticism. Comes with the job and keeps me grounded. I'm fortunate to have the best job in sports and I NEVER take it for granted.

Len was in the house today. My GF got a picture of him leaving the game. I wonder why he was at the game and where he sat.

 

I'm honestly not sucking up when I saw Len is awesome. People are either going to love or hate his voice cracks during big moments. I choose to love them. Len's best call ever was when Murton scored on a WP last year against the Phillies to move into a first place tie. "...and the Cubs win! The FIRST PLACE Cubs win!"
