How awkward would it be if, let's say the Cubs and Brewers both lose tomorrow, so the magic number is one, and then Milwaukee loses Saturday before the Cubs game ends, and then we lose too.

Celebrating after a loss would be really odd.

Just a thought, just keep winning!

I've also thought about something like that. I'd hate to see us win tomorrow and then have Mil. lose. We'd clinch without even being on the field. I want us to do whatever the Brewers do tomorrow and then win on Saturday. It would be perfect.

This is frustrating for me. I really, really want to see them clinch on Sunday (because I'm going to be there). I'd rather them not clinch Saturday because we'll be driving up, and I want to see it happen, whether it's in person or on TV. And obviously the only way they can clinch tomorrow is if/when the Brewers lose. Which is no fun. In an ideal world, the Cubs win tomorrow or Saturday, but not both... and the Brewers win both days. Which sets things up perfectly for Dempster to slam it on Sunday.

It would be the happiest loss of the season.

You know you have an awesome manager when your fans party even when the team loses.

Winning the division that way would be better, at least to me, than if the Cubs win today and the Brewers lose later on. At least in your scenario, though it would be a little weird, the Cubs would be able to celebrate clinching immediately after the game.
