Not gonna take a stab at the AZL? Jharmidy De Jesus has to be a lock for #1. It's a PTA trying to guess the Cubs on there but I guess Suarez will make it again and maybe Cerda and Watkins.

When Betances is #9 and Burgess #10, that's a pretty talented top 10.

I emailed BA asking when they'd start. Hopefully they respond soon, but I would guess next week.

They start next Monday with the AZL.

8. Dominic Brown, CF - Lakewood, Philadelphia

I saw him triple and double against Delmarva in the 1 game I went to this season. On the double he strayed too far past 2nd and was thrown out trying to get back. Anyway he looked pretty good in that small sample.

Out of curiosity, who would be the top Shorebirds player on this list? would they make the top 50? The O's do a lot of weird things with their farm system.

I figured we could toss the non-Cub league rankings in here. I'm sure a few of them will spark some discussion.

The craziest part is that this is a low-A ball list, not at all close to the big leagues.

19. Josh Donaldson, c, Stockton (Athletics)

B-T: R-R Ht.: 6-1 Wt.: 215 Age: 22 Drafted: Cubs '07 (1s)

A converted third baseman who ideally profiles as an offense-first catcher, Donaldson was hitting just .217/.276/.349 in low Class A when the Cubs traded him to the Athletics in the Rich Harden deal in July. He got his bat jump-started in the more hitter-friendly Cal League, hitting .330/.391/.564 during the regular season and smashing four doubles and four homers in the playoffs.

Donaldson has good plate discipline and should have at least average power, though some scouts question whether he'll hit enough to play every day in the big leagues. He does a good job of using the whole field and runs better than most catchers.

Donaldson still needs to work on the nuances of catching. He showed his raw ability by throwing out 35 percent of basestealers in the Cal League, but his receiving skills are still developing. He committed 12 passed balls in 42 games, bringing his career total to 29 in 139 pro contests.

Q: Dave from Alabama asks:

How does Josh Donaldson make the top 20 in the Cal League but not in the Midwest League? I know he got owned in the MWL (saw him play quite a bit) but as we all know prospect status is not based on performance... so would he have still made the list if he would not have hit in the Cal League?

A: Will Lingo: Prospect status is not based solely on performance, but performance has to play a role. And Donaldson stunk in the MWL. His poor performance is explainable, but in a league as big as the Midwest, if a guy is that bad then it's easy to find other guys to highlight from the league in a particular year. I happen to know the guy who wrote up that MWL prospect list, and I know he likes Donaldson.

Thanks for trading him to me in Roadkill. :D

Ehh, worthless trade. JD Drew got hurt (shocking!) but I still won the championship in RK.

And I replaced Davis with Justin Smoak off the waiver wire. I'll be fine, my minor league is still one of the best in RK.

Along with that championship I just won.
