Mephistopheles, I would like to see an article or something said about the Rule 'V', and it's implications on the Cubs. Who would you protect and why? While Rundle may be making a case,?! there are, it seems, so many that may be on the way out. Namely, Cedeno. Lost 'prospect'? Protected too soon?

 

There are a million ways to figure this and I would like your input if possible. Great to see you on the Draft page, and hopefully, you will post on the minor league page soon. Thanks.

obligatory "It's rule 5 not rule V" post.

 

I think this year might be one of the eaier years as far as Rule 5 goes. If they have to, the Cubs can de roster K Hill, McGeHee, Fuld, and Fox. There's also Lieber and Edmonds who will be gone.

Nope. He was drafted in the 14th round in 2006, so we've still got a while.
