Boise had 4 NWL all-stars. 3B Josh Vitters was a unanimous selection - joining him on the team are 1B Ryan Keedy, 2B Josh Harrison (now with Peoria) and SS Ryan Flaherty.

Robert Hernandez going out strong: 5 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K.

Tennessee gave up 3 touchdowns and only scored a safety. Carolina 21, Tennessee 2. Veal pitched 4 innings and gave up 10 hits, 8 runs (all earned), walked 4, and struck out 5. The really mind-boggling line is Made, who pitched a whopping 1/3 of an inning, in which he gave up 6 hits, 5 walks, and 11 runs (all earned).

Made's not a pitcher by trade, happily. I see Tennessee also decided to give Josh Lansford a whirl as a reliever.

Peoria's bullpen hit a few bumps thanks in part to some rough defense, but the Chiefs held on for the W. The offense managed one XBH, but managed to get a bunch of singles and BBs throughout the game.

Searle had a terrific night, giving up no runs, 3 baserunners, and striking out 2 over 5 IP. Kyler Burke tripled, scored two runs, and drove in another.

I didn't realize that about Made. Basically taking one for the team. I'm not really familiar with him; I don't remember him from earlier in the year when I saw a game at Carolina.

Well, he should probably be in Boise. He's overwhelmed as a hitter in AA.

Heck, he faced more batters today as a pitcher than he has had at bats as a hitter during his AA time.

I feel bad for the guy who grounded out vs. Made. He's not going to hear the end of that one.
It's Made to order embarrassment for that player. :D
