The Brewers have two great starters, a mediocre offense and a horrible bullpen. The lackluster defense doesn't help much, either.

all of that and still no one can beat them.

Who was the team that whipped their ass in a 4 game beatdown again? I think it was something like 31-11 in the 4 game set.

The team that beat them escapes me.

i think we win the wild card, there's just no holding off the brewers. but oh well, it'll be all over for them by next year.
Sarcasm? The Brewers aren't going to win the division.

somebody better tell them that, and quick.

the brewers have a world series team, period.

World Series teams can only win the division?

hey, i said that we were the wild card, what do you want from me?

Sulley seriously has to be messing with us... I want to stop taking the bait, but I can't...

I'm pretty sure he's dead serious. This is how sulley is.

dude, why is it so hard to believe that the brewers will win the division? it's august and they're going to be 3 games out.

it's not like i'm predicting that the pirates are going to win the division. i don't get why that's so unbelievable.

Because the Cubs are clearly the better team and it makes no sense for someone to be sure that the worse team that's 3 games behind is going to prevail?

Sure, it can happen, but it would definitely be an upset.

4 game lead in the loss column is all that matters. Perhaps you know which team it was that whipped the Brewers in 4 at the end of July.? 8-)

lol I'd love to take a bet on the division.. especially with a 4 loss head-start :D

we better keep winning every single game, then.

and this is why I'm saying your posts read like sarcasm. You keep talking like the Brewers can't and never will lose a game again.

We've been better than them by a greater margin than the standings would suggest.

they're going to win a lot of games down the stretch. we better be able to match them. it doesn't take much to overcome a 3-game deficit.

so, when my prediction comes true, it'll just be a fluke?

sheets and sabbathia are like automatic wins right now. that's 2 for sure victories every 5 games.

and we got swept by the white sox, too. they must be loads better than us.

So the Brewers beat up on some horrible teams, and suddenly they'te the team to beat in the division? Is this dude for real? He's not even giving any substance, it's just "well, they're good" or "they're a world series team". As somebody else said, the Brewers have a good top of the rotation, a decent offense, and a terrible bullpen/defense. They're a good team, not a great team, and certainly not better than the Cubs. I'm not saying the Brewers don't have a chance, but to proclaim that they are the best is pretty ridiculous.

I usually lose bets and I wouldn't mind losing that one, so I've got a mind to take you up on it :)

Cubs swept the White Sox as well. Were you trying to make a point because I'm still waiting if you are.

Ben Sheets in his last 8 starts (actual runs, not earned runs, since we're talking about how the team might do in his starts):

7 IP, 5 R

5 2/3 IP, 1 R

6 IP, 3 R

5 IP, 4 R

7 IP, 3 R

5 1/3 IP, 6 R

6 IP, 3 R

9 IP, 0 R

The Brewers are 4-4 in his last 8 starts, including 1-2 in his last 3 starts. That doesn't scream automatic win.

Sheets is an auto win? Before he shut down the hapless Nats he was 1-4 with a 4.50 ERA in his previous 7 starts. Man, that guy is unbeatable! Seriously, stop with the panic stuff. You know perfectly well that you aren't being logical right now.
