According to Daytona's web site, Angel Guzman was moved up to Tennessee. I'm guessing we might see him start for the Smokies tomorrow.

Blake Lalli is down to Daytona from Tennessee.

Anyone who watches Daytona... what's the quick scouting report on Muldowney? He has good numbers so far...

Not sure now but when he was drafted, he had an upper 80s to 90 mph FB w/ sink and movement, a plus curve and a good change and has good command. He had Tommy John surgery last season.

Here's a shocker:

MiLB.com[/url]"]Pacific Coast League Player of the Week

Micah Hoffpauir, Iowa

.444 (12-27), 11 R, 3 2B, 0 3B, 5 HR, 11 RBI, 1 BB, 3 SO, 0 SB, 1.111 SLG

It's the second time this season Hoffpauir has taken home Player of the Week honors in the PCL, and the first baseman could have won the award based solely on his performance Saturday in Round Rock. The left-handed hitter slugged solo home runs in his first four at-bats to tie a franchise record. He also became just the fifth player in PCL history and first in a decade to hit four long balls in one night. As if that weren't enough, Hoffpauir was in the middle of a triple play in the first inning, helping Iowa escape a jam. The rest of his week wasn't too shabby, either, as the Fort Worth native had a 13-game hitting streak that included five consecutive two-hit contests and a 3-for-5 night in Friday's series opener in Round Rock. Hoffpauir raised his season average to .367 with 19 homers and 78 RBIs.

Longest outing of the year for Suarez - 3.2 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K. Julio Peña followed him. Mesa's offense is rolling like it was a few weeks ago, led by a John Contreras 3-run HR.

Aaron Shafer had a solid outing but a big blemish was a 2-run HR - 4 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K. Josh Vitters is 1 for 4 with a single to extend that hit streak to 18 games.

Another walk for N. Perez.
