Get Campbell off my team, now.

If you lose an edge, you lose an edge, what are you gonna do?

Worse contract: Campbell or Sori?

I hope they perform a miracle here, but I'm out. Time to catch up on last week's episode of 24.

We are not going anywhere in the playoffs with Huet in goal. Simple as that.

ATP the Hawks need to get Khabby healthy and ready for the playoffs. IMO, after the season I much rather re-sign Nik to a 2/3 yr deal for reasonable money, and trade Huet to a goaltender desparate team and have Niemi as Nik's backup, over bring Huet back. I cannot get confident with Huet in goal, and I think the Hawks should trade him in the offseason.

I just don't know if they would be able to get anyone to take on his contract. And it would be, in effect, Tallon admitting a mistake. Hopefully he is willing to do that.

Then that would be a problem? If a GM cannot admit he made a mistake with a FA signing, then perhaps he shouldn't be the GM of a major city sports franchise. IMO, the Hawks would have to include a pretty good prospect, say Aliu, Skille, or perhaps Brower if they want to move Huet, and while I am normally against such a transaction, I wouldn't be too upset in this case. Huet is too much of the "stud or dud" extreme.

yeah well you posted that right after goal 4...hes played terrible for a while now, but you said you wanted him off your team after he lost an edge and fell down. I wouldn't be terribly mad at him for that, especially in a game that we have 0% chance of winning.

That was the final straw, he's directly responsible for 3/4 goals.

.......2 MINUTES FOR FALLING DOWN

WOW

get the hell out of here

Elbow to head not called.

Then Ladd actually tripped, not called.

This is hockey, not basketball

Uhh the Bruins guy had a blow out and they got a PP leading 4-1. Ladd actually tripped and no call when there should have been in the final minutes, terrible.

Oh well... this one is 100% on Campbell... single handedly lost this game for us, good job carrot top.

Ohh well, I'm glad they actually stepped it up in the third. Hopefully they can build off of it. They showed a lot of heart by not giving up in a game that everyone thought was turning into a blow out.

Except on the replay that apparent blow out turned out to be he got his legs kicked out from under him.

Whatever... you have to call the elbow at least, it's dangerous and a clear penalty.

Just be assured I'm not blaming officiating in the least for the loss, the Hawks defense crapped the bed and it shouldn't have been 4-3 then. Hawks should have had the lead. Even if elbowing is called, no guarantee they would have scored... just saying it needs to be called.

Brian Campbell/Matt Walker ultimately lost this for us.

We're in huge trouble for the playoffs with our defense... what a liability it has turned into. Matt Walker is AWFUL and Brian Campbell gets worse every game... I hope Hammy and Barker can step it up.

I fear teams that can knock us around will just smother us in the playoffs. We aren't a physical team, at all. Still enjoying the team, but the playoffs scare me a bit.

That's the problem with getting rid of Wiz. He was always willing to lay the wood, either on the boards or in open ice. Buff doesn't seem all that interested in hitting anymore, which means there isn't much physical play on this team aside from the 4th line.

he lost an edge because he was trying to do his stupid little spinorama for no reason

Vancouver has won 12 of 14 and is now 5 points back of the Hawks. Both have 19 to play.

Obviously this isn't a true "must-win," but if the Hawks drop the game today I'll be concerned.

Well if we drop to the 5th seed it's not life or death, the Hawks have been pretty good on the road... and I believe we'd still play the Nucks.

That being said, I would obviously love to keep the 4th seed and home ice advantage.
