I've got this error message on two different occasions today (the second time it didn't last as long as the first):

General Error

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

User northsid_Admin2 already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections [1203]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

Also, twice today I've had strange goings-on within a single thread. The thread keeps showing that there are unread posts, yet when I click on the icon to go to the first unread post it instead goes to the very first post in the forum. But when I leave that thread it still shows unread posts even though there haven't been any additional posts made.

Edit: Before it goes to the first post in the thread I get a message saying "If your browser doesn't support meta redirection please click here to be redirected."

I've had problems all afternoon as well. Things have been working very well for while now, but in the last few days I couldn't access the site at 0000 hours Pacific Time. This used to be a problem, but it had been gone for a fairly extended period time. I tried to get on NSBB at 1500 hours PST and the front page would load but not correctly. It would have an error message at the 'top' of the page. Like the 1st few lines of the screen and then the main page would load, but not correctly.

The proportions were off. Then if you tried to access the message board you would get 'cannot access error'. Hope this helps. Thanks Tim.

Earlier in the day, it appeared that NSBB lost its connection with its mySQL database (possible server down or moved?). As far as max user connections, I'm not sure if that's something Tim can set himself or if that's a constraint of the ISP of this site.

The board crashes every night at 2 am and stays down for about 10 or 15 minutes.

Same thing out here but at midnight. It's been crashing at midnight for a while now but it used to only be for 2 to 3 minutes. Now it's more than 10.

My guess (and I freely admit, it's a total guess) is that they probably reboot the server nightly at the service provider.

I think you're both talking about the same time, but in different time zones. For me it's 3:00 A.M., but I'm in the Eastern zone, so that's the same as 2:00 Central or midnight Pacific.

I ran into a problem that started Friday and lasted all weekend. when I went to the site, I had to log in instead of being automatically logged in, but when I tried to log in and check the box to automatically log in, the site kept freezing up.
