It's not about Soriano being babied, it's about putting him where he is successful. That equals the Cubs scoring runs.

 

.890 OPS hitter leading off > .850 OPS hitting batting 4th.

I hate listening to other teams' announcers. I know they are just doing their job and being homers, but it still irritates me. Yes, Jackson hit a solid single, we get it. But it was a hanging slider, that's what profession hitters do. It was nothing special really.
