Lou was in almost a no-win position there... either he leaves in Harden to finish the inning (which he did), or you bring in Howry and hope that Young doesn't take him deep, effectively blowing the game wide open ["wide open" in terms of how things have gone tonight for the Cubs' lack of offense].

I wish Harden was more of a ground ball type pitcher because we don't get many innings out of him, 7 isn't bad but in 115 pitches or so it sure isn't good.

 

If we can't win with what Rich gave us tonight, then there's nothing else that can be said. The loss is deserved, and it's on the offense.
