I'm not saying Fontenot should have been safe, but this brings up a point I've always wondered about... how many times have the SS or 2B caught the flip after they've already crossed the bag but the ump calls the force out anyway at the start of GIDPs??

 

Sometimes they look so fast, it makes you wonder if they were toeing the bag as they caught the flip/toss or not.

 

It's probably like the in the neighborhood play at second on a double play

Do the Reds showboat on every routine defensive play. Don't they know they suck?

I was expecting that flyout to be a HR.

 

Every time the ball goes in the air - for the Reds - I expect it to somehow find itself out past the basket and fence, even on foul balls!
