I just looked at the schedule and after today the Brewers start a 10 game homestand against the Pirates, Rockies (4), and Reds. Yikes.

 

The Crew will either catch us before the ASB, or they won't catch us at all. This stretch of Cubs injuries/poor play is their window, IMO.

Which is why I don't think it will happen. I said the same thing about a week ago (during the O's series, because I anticipated a poor series against the Sox. I thought the Crew would gain more ground over the past week than they did.

 

I just think that if the Cubs still have a lead when Soriano comes back and the Cubs acquire another starter, they won't relinquish it.
