Let's assume he's out for the year, and be thankful for anything better.

I know he's been hit a couple of times on that wrist in the past week or so. If there's no damage, he's a lucky lucky man.

Who knows. It's still day to day and it was still sore. XRay's were negative, but I'm just waiting for the discovery of the hairline fracture that the first Xray didn't catch.

Bruce[/url]"]Third baseman Aramis Ramirez took a few "soft-toss" swings Monday, hitting a ball in the tunnel, but he said his injured left wrist still is too sore

He apparently had to stop because of the pain, so I can't imagine that he'll be back this series.

Oh man...This is not sounding good.

This is the type of situation where a manager has to actually MANAGE his roster, not just move the #5 guy to the #4 spot, where he has no buisness.

1)Fukudome

2)Theriot

3)Lee

4)Soto

5)Soriano

6)Cedeno

7)DeRosa/Fontenot

8)Pie

At this point you might as well just keep him out of the series and then he gets the off day on Thursday and hope he's ready to go on Friday.

If he can't play by Friday, he needs to go on the DL. It will be 10-days by the end of the Arizona series, might as well sit him another 5 days if that's the case.

Of course, the Cubs will just removed Eyre from the DL, giving them the ever necessary 13th pitcher or callup Eric Patterson to help take ABs away from Cedeno.

All I have to say is Soriano better start doing what hes paid to do if we want to survive this. The fact that Lou wont even consider moving him to the 5th or 6th spot drives me crazy.

Too bad Hoffpauir couldnt stay healthy sucks. After fighting for a job he never had a chance at, this could have been his chance.

That's still a solid lineup, even without a masher like Aramis.

He's back in the lineup tonight, for anyone not already aware. Hope they aren't rushing him.

Thank God.
